Shem is the product of long ago hopes I had of combining my beautiful ++*B Sweet Dreams Golden Boy daughter, CH Golden Style with does I fell “in love” with during the last two decades. Rishona, Jaguar, Lyric were purebred does that stopped you in your tracks! They are names all Alpine breeders know without any prefixes. The sons and daughters of these legends swirl through the pedigrees of the most admired present-day show winners of our breed.

Shem, himself, is a tall, long, upstanding, large boned, smoothly blended, flashy patterned buck. All that, plus, truly level and well angulated! Just look at his appraisal scores! When an animal is constructed correctly, its movement is smooth and pleasing to watch...so it is with Shem. He is an easy keeper like his dam, and shares her temperament. So far, every kid he has sired, has been larger than its “kidmates”. Shenanigan, his 1st milking daughter, is the largest young doe on the farm, and is much taller than her dam.

Shem's dam, Shelby, the 2014 National Champion is a “stop you in your tracks” kind of doe. I see it every time she is shown! She is CH Golden Style’s great-granddaughter. Hurray for the hopes of those who dream!
