CH The Iron Rod TH Sigourney  Linear Appraisal: 6-00 91 (VEEE), foreudder attachment 50, rear udder height 50, teat placement 25.

Sigourney is a gorgeous doe! She is strong in general appearance; level, deep and elegant. She has a most remarkable udder with a rear udder height of 50, foreudder 50, udder depth 32 and teat placement 25!!! She boasts extraordinary udders throughout her pedigree. Her paternal grgranddam, GCH Maple Glen PM's Carrie 6*M, was 2nd place Aged Doe, Best Udder, at the '94 National Show. Her paternal grgrandsire, Danish Classic, is in the pedigree of the most prestigious Alpines of recent acclaim.

The Iron Rod half of her sire was our exquisite CH Thornbird, 91(EEEE), 2nd place Senior Yearling '94 National Show and 1st place 4-year-old '97 National Show.

Thistle, her dam, belonged to another and was not shown. She was a very correctly put together doe with a picture perfect udder. Her granddam, Sanstorms Roc Solita 3*M had an udder of enviable proportions and correctness.

Sigourney has been to two National Shows. She placed 3rd behind Rishona and Hope in a most superlative class of 5 & 6-year-olds in 2003. The next year she was 8th in her class.

We believe in her and used her son, Sullivan, on 4 does for 2006. Her 2006 son, Significant, sired by Jim Shamison, is now owned by Tom Cox of Maine.

Bred to Juan Carlos. Kids are due April 9, 2008.
